The Froedtert & the 91ɫƵ regional health network is a partnership between and the 91ɫƵ supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research and education. Our health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma Center at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee, an internationally recognized training and research center engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies. The Froedtert & 91ɫƵ health network, which includes four community hospital campuses, more than 1,600 physicians and nearly 40 health centers and clinics, draws patients from throughout the Midwest and the nation. In our most recent fiscal year, outpatient visits exceeded 1.1 million, inpatient admissions to our hospitals were 49,250 and visits to our network physicians totaled 932,000.
In 2023, Froedtert Hospital was ranked in , and U.S. News & World Report ranked Froedtert Hospital nationally in four specialties: gynecology, nephrology, pulmonology and ear, nose and throat care.
Froedtert & 91ɫƵ physicians conduct clinical research trials and other studies that continually enhance the quality of health care in Wisconsin and beyond. The 91ɫƵ receives a high level of research support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as well as other government research grants.
Our physicians have been part of many scientific discoveries of new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat disease. Patients benefit from new life-saving drugs, medical devices and breakthrough surgical techniques.

Children's Wisconsin is a Level I pediatric trauma center, providing the best care to all injured kids. The American College of Surgeons only grants Level I verification to hospitals that provide the highest quality of care and deliver injury prevention, research and education programs to professionals and the public.
- Full-time, 24/7 availability of trauma surgeons and medical specialists and subspecialists.
- Availability of specialized facilities, including emergency services, and an operating room dedicated to and ready for trauma cases.
- Full-time staffing of neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and specially trained trauma nurses, as well as anesthesia services, intensive care units, rehabilitation services, CT, and other imaging facilities available for trauma patients at all times.

Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center
The is located on 125 acres on the western edge of Milwaukee and part of VA Integrated Services Network 12 (VISN 12), which includes facilities in Iron Mountain, MI; Tomah and Madison, WI, and North Chicago, Hines, and Chicago. The Medical Center delivers primary, secondary, and tertiary medical care in 168 care acute operating beds and provides over 500,000 visits annually through an extensive outpatient program. The nursing home care unit of 113 beds offers geriatric programming and the 356 domiciliary beds are the locus of programs in Substance Abuse Rehabilitation, Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder care.
Special programs include interventional radiology, cardiac surgery, comprehensive cancer care including radiation therapy, an extensive telemedicine program with the Iron Mountain, MI VAMC, a Spinal Cord Injury Unit, and, in long term care, a Geriatric Evaluation and Management Program and a palliative care program. The Medical Center is the VA Great Lakes Health Care System's northern tier hub for both imaging, and pathology/ laboratory medicine. The VAMC is a Level 1A facility- the highest possible VA designation with all specialists available.Over 24,000 visits per year, high acuity and a complex veteran population with a 24% admission rate (highest in region) occur in the Emergency Department.
As a teaching hospital, VAMC Milwaukee provides a full range of services, with state-of-the-art technology as well as education and research allowing residents the opportunity to serve those who served us.
Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital
Froedtert Menomonee Falls is located 20 minutes north of the Froedtert campus and has a state-of-the art community Emergency Department staffed by board certified 91ɫƵ Emergency Medicine Physicians. The ED sees 27,000 patients annually. The hospital is a Level III trauma center and is both stroke certified and chest pain certified. The hospital serves both adult and pediatric populations. The ED has a high acuity of illness and admits 30% of the patients that are seen and treated in the ED.
