Welcome to the Division of General Internal Medicine

The mission of the Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) is best expressed through its commitment to patient care, medical education, research, and innovation, as well as its regional and national presence as a leader in the comprehensive care and treatment of the adult patient. GIM provides clinical care across four primary sections: hospital medicine, perioperative medicine, primary care, and the VA. The division is actively involved in the training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and our faculty serve in a variety of teaching and mentoring roles. Our faculty conduct innovative research in many areas and are highly engaged in improving population health through the 91ɫƵ Center for Advancing Population Science.
