Biography

Lan Jiang is a skilled and experienced Database Administrator with a decade of expertise in the field of database management. Her role primarily involves overseeing the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of DataShare, a comprehensive integrated data system that amalgamates diverse datasets from public safety, public health, and education sectors in the Milwaukee area.

Lan is responsible for developing and implementing a structured data model for the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes, ensuring efficient movement and transformation of data across systems while maintaining data integrity and quality. She also plays a crucial role in monitoring and managing user access, ensuring the authorized users have appropriate access to the data they need, and supports research teams by addressing and resolving any data-related questions.

Lan joined Division of Epidemiology & Social Sciences since 2017. She holds a master’s degree from Temple University, where she specialized in developing data models for database design. Outside of her professional work, Lan enjoys traveling with her husband and two children.
