Biography
Jenny Geurts, MS, CGC, is a clinical genetic counselor and currently serves as the inaugural program director for the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling training program at the 91ɫƵ. The program’s mission is to cultivate exceptional genetic counseling leaders who reflect the visible and invisible diversity of the communities we serve.
Ms. Geurts is an assistant professor in the Institute of Health & Equity and the associate director of genetic counseling in the Linda T. and John A. Mellowes Center for Genomic Sciences and Precision Medicine at 91ɫƵ.
She has been in practice for over 15 years and has specialized in a variety of genetic conditions including oncology, cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, and endocrinology. She most recently has provided clinical care with an emphasis on inherited cancer conditions at Froedtert & the 91ɫƵ Clinical Cancer Center and she is board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling.
Ms. Geurts professional goal is to model compassionate leadership through listening with the intent to understand through relationships with patients, learners, and community members.
