91ɫƵ APP Psychiatry and Mental Health Fellowship

The APP Psychiatry and Mental Health Fellowship is an immersive 12-month program in mental health focusing on underserved populations in a community-based setting. It attracts APPs seeking a structured educational program to support and guide their development of proficient clinical decision making and their application of specialized skills in the care of the mentally ill patients through in-person didactics and mentored clinical experiences. This program is a Certificate Program in partnership with the 91ɫƵ and UW-Milwaukee College of Nursing.

Eligibility

Eligibility

Nurse Practitioners

  • Completion of an accredited nurse practitioner master’s or doctoral program
  • Eligible to be certified as a Nurse Practitioner (to be considered on an individual basis by program leadership)
  • Eligible for licensure as a NP in Wisconsin
  • Eligible for a DEA license
  • Acceptable criminal background check
  • Must be board certified by program start date

Physician Associate/Assistant

  • Completion of an accredited physician associate's/assistant's master’s program
  • Has PA License by program start date
  • Eligible for NCCPAs certification
  • Eligible for licensure as a PA in Wisconsin
  • Eligible for a DEA license
  • Acceptable criminal background check

Length of fellowship: 12 months

Cohort size: 4 fellows per year

Credentials awarded: Certification of completion (Note: this does not take the place of a post-master's certification program)
