Participating Laboratories
Research in the Brain Injury Research program is led by world-class faculty specializing in neurosurgery, neurology, neurophysiology, traumatic brain injury, and imaging. Participating Laboratories include the Brett Lab, the McCrea Lab, the Meier Lab and the Nelson Lab.
The Nelson Laboratory
Dr. Lindsay Nelson and researchers at 91ɫƵ's Nelson Lab study patients’ feeling and functioning after traumatic brain injury with goals of improving clinical endpoints for translational studies and clinical trials, better understanding patient heterogeneity, and developing patient-centered improvements in clinical care.

The Meier Laboratory
Led by Dr. Timothy Meier, and in collaboration with 91ɫƵ's Brain Injury Research program, the Meier Lab uses advanced imaging, clinical and behavioral testing to investigate the acute and chronic effects of traumatic brain injury, including sport-related concussion.

Many of our research participants complete follow-up visits with us at Froedtert Hospital in the Pavilion Building. If you have a visit with us, please park in Lot 4 and enter through the large revolving door off of the circle drive.
