Biography

Sarah Cornell joined the Office of Global Health as a Research Coordinator in February 2023. Sarah works closely with 91ɫƵ faculty and trainees in developing sustainable, multi-national research collaborations. Sarah also supports Faculty in the Department of Neurosurgery, where she leads the clinical interventional research division. She has extensive experience with Industry- and Investigator-Initiated drug and device trials. Outside of 91ɫƵ, Sarah works part-time as a Firefighter/Paramedic at Hales Corners Fire Department. She serves as a co-chair of Milwaukee County’s Office of Emergency Management Healthy Equity Committee. Sarah is interested in combining her experience in human subjects research and transnational partnerships to advance clinical research opportunities and innovative care in low- and middle-resource settings in the U.S. and abroad. Sarah was the first graduate of 91ɫƵ’s Master of Science in Global Health Equity Program. The focus of her thesis work was prehospital medical training in East Africa.
