Tiffany Kuo, a lead certified infection preventionist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, is dedicated to reducing the incidence and impact of healthcare-associated infections and occupational exposures. Her role involves overseeing several departments, including the emergency department, multiple observation and general medicine units, and the pathology laboratories. In 2019, she received a general Master in Public Health degree from Michigan State University. She holds medical technology certifications from the American Society of Clinical Pathology in blood bank, microbiology, and hematology. Her experience collaborating with the local health department on highly transmissible infectious diseases among at-risk populations has equipped her to develop a model for cross-sector partnerships between hospitals and local health departments in alignment with Public Health 3.0 - to establish long-term roadmaps for health, equity, and resilience in at-risk communities. In her free time, Tiffany enjoys taking short road trips through the Midwest with her husband and daughter.
