Biography

Kristin Busse, PharmD, BCPS, joined the 91ɫƵ Pharmacy School in February 2020 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences. Dr. Busse received her PharmD from Drake University in 2004. She then completed a PGY1 residency at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI, followed by a PGY2 residency focusing on infectious diseases at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center. After the two residencies, Dr. Busse completed a 2-year Clinical Antiretroviral Research Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. She took a position with Froedtert Hospital Pharmacy department and served as an investigational drug pharmacist for 10 years. Over this time, Dr. Busse has helped facilitate a wide variety of clinical trials, most recently including cell therapies. Dr. Busse helped establish the pharmacy research committee at Froedtert, serving as its founding chair, which aims to improve the quality and scientific merit of staff and residency projects at Froedtert Hospital. Dr. Busse also serves as an IRB chair and the Research Oversight Program Director for the 91ɫƵ Office of Research.
