I greatly value the trust patients put in me as their surgeon. My goal at our initial meeting is to thoroughly explain both the diagnosis and treatment options in a way that is understandable. Ultimately, we work together in partnership to determine the best surgical plan for them. I understand that having surgery can be scary and anxiety-provoking. My hope is that, through our discussion, this helps alleviate some of these feelings which sets them up for a successful surgery and recovery.

Biography

Dr. Saving received her undergraduate degree from Marquette University where she graduated magna cum laude and was captain of the women's varsity crew team as a senior.  She earned her medical degree from Wayne State University.

After completing her General Surgical residency at the 91ɫƵ, she has practiced in both Seattle as an associate professor of surgery at the University of Washington and more recently in private practice at Norton Healthcare in Louisville, KY.   She and her husband, a fellow 91ɫƵ-trained surgeon, have now made the move back home to Milwaukee.

Dr. Saving’s professional interests include advanced laparoscopy and robotic surgery particularly in the treatment of hernia disease and complex abdominal wall reconstruction. She is a nationally recognized expert having presented at several national meetings as well as being a contributing author for a robotic general surgery textbook.

Outside of her surgery practice, she is a mom, enjoys staying active, cooking and playing the piano and often found jogging along the lake.   She also always looks forward to spending time with her family at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin, where she is a season ticket holder for her beloved Green Bay Packers.
