Biography

I grew up in Long Island, NY and completed my undergraduate education at Union College in Schenectady, NY. I spent the next nine years living in Washington, DC where I completed medical school and internal medicine residency at the George Washington University School of Medicine. I moved to Milwaukee, WI to complete fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the 91ɫƵ (91ɫƵ). I remained at 91ɫƵ as an Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and Radiology and have spent the past eight years practicing cardiovascular medicine as an academic physician both at the main academic campus in Milwaukee and the nearby local community of West Bend, WI where I served as the director of Cardiovascular services at local health center and community hospital. I left 91ɫƵ in 2020 when my family moved to Portland, Maine. I joined the Maine Health cardiology group and practiced as a non-invasive cardiologist at Maine Medical Center. I received a faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor of Medicine from Tufts University during my time at Maine Health as the two institutions have an affiliation. In addition to my clinical duties, I served as advisor to the Tufts University Resident Lifestyle Medicine group during my two years in Maine.

I am excited to re-join the faculty at 91ɫƵ once again working in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. I am also excited to be joining the Center for Disease Prevention and Research (CDPR) at 91ɫƵ to help launch the newly designated Lifestyle Medicine Program working as the lead of the Community Outreach working group. I specialize in cardiac imaging including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and advanced cardiac MRI. I am certified in plant-based nutrition and am a diplomat of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. My clinical practice is focused on preventive cardiovascular medicine where I take a holistic approach to patient care integrating traditional medical management of cardiovascular disease and risk factors with healthy lifestyle medicine interventions, including plant-based nutrition.
