Child Advocacy Welcomes New Physician

Rachel Segal, MDChild Advocacy and Protection is pleased to announce the start of Rachel Segal, MD, as a child abuse pediatrician and faculty member with the Child Advocacy and Protection Services team. Dr. Rachel Segal recently completed her fellowship training in Child Abuse and Neglect at Children’s Mercy Hospital and her Master of Public Health at the University of Missouri. She received a BS in Psychology at University of Illinois before completing medical school at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatrics residency at University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Segal’s research interests include home visiting and the intersection of healthcare. She also has an interest in child abuse education and building partnerships among multidisciplinary team members. Outside of work she enjoys being outdoors, music, and spending time with her loved ones.
