Biography
Dorian Tellis is an Alverno College graduate, earning her Bachelor's degree in Business and Accounting in 2024, complemented by a minor in Community Engagement. Guided by her mentor, Heather Sattler, she has been practicing Restorative Practices since her junior year at Alliance High School and is deeply dedicated to youth engagement in Milwaukee's middle and high schools. Her influence extends nationally, having conducted training sessions at notable institutions such as Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, Carroll College, and Harvard University. Dorian has facilitated Restorative Practices workshops for various organizations, including the Milwaukee Police Department and the Department of Youth and Family Services, and has experience teaching in juvenile detention centers and supporting high-risk youth and individuals reentering society. As the Community Coordinator for 414 Life, Dorian passionately advocates for the widespread adoption of restorative practices. Her work emphasizes the importance of healing and community cohesion, reflecting her commitment to making a transformative impact both locally and globally.
