Biography
Mark is a proud UW-Milwaukee graduate where he studied English and Africology. Upon retiring from a professional basketball career in South America, Mark started his work as a strong advocate for Milwaukee's youth and their families. The majority of Mark's 25 years of experience has been focused on post-secondary options for students, career exploration, and other transitional programming working for UW-Milwaukee, Dept of Public Instruction, MPS and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. In Mark's spare time, he still works with student athletes with Cream Skills Inc. where he is the league director, focusing on entrepreneurship, character building, life skills, and preventing violence – through basketball. Mark's most recent career endeavor is working with 414 LIFE as the hospital responder supervisor providing support and resources for victims of gun violence. Lastly, Mark has recently been certified as an adult mental health first aid instructor for adults where he hopes to provide resources and information to adults who are experiencing challenges with mental health and wellness.
