About the 91ɫƵ Department of Dermatology

The mission of the Department of Dermatology at the 91ɫƵ is to provide exceptional and compassionate care for children and adults with common and complex skin diseases; to educate and inspire clinicians, scholars, and future leaders who will advance the specialty of dermatology; and to foster innovative and interdisciplinary research that will bring new knowledge and provide state-of-the-art care for patients.

Welcome from the Chair

Kenneth GordonWelcome to the Department of Dermatology at the 91ɫƵ. Our Department has a long history of providing quality patient care, state of the art education for our students, residents, and community partners, and a deep commitment to expanding the understanding of the physiology of the skin and new and novel treatments through research. Starting in 1946, we have grown into a comprehensive department with specialty clinical care in skin cancer and inflammatory diseases, first-class cutaneous surgery and dermatopathology, and one of the most vital and important sections of pediatric dermatology both nationally and internationally. We are privileged to work with our clinical partners, Froedtert Health System, Children’s Wisconsin, and the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center to provide resources and expertise that is unmatched in Wisconsin.

We invite you to learn more about the programs offered by Dermatology at the 91ɫƵ. Our team of clinicians, researchers, and trainees are happy to help you learn about the opportunities in advanced care and education that make each of us part of this exciting endeavor.
