The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology hosts the annual Crohn’s and Colitis Conference. Topics are presented by members of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Division of Colorectal Surgery, Division of Rheumatology, Pediatric Psychology and Developmental Medicine and Pediatric Gastroenterology at the 91ɫƵ and Children’s Wisconsin and we have a keynote speaker from Massachusetts General Hospital. These topics include: Precision Medicine in IBD, New Therapies in Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease, Head to Head Trials in IBD, Positioning of Small Molecules in Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease-Where do we Stand?, An Emerging Paradigm Shift: Obesity & IBD, Exclusive Enteral Nutrition Therapy in Pediatric Crohn’s Disease, Mental Health and IBD, Surgical Management of Ulcerative Colitis, Rheumatologic Manifestations of IBD, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Then and Now.
The event is intended for gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, internists and family physicians as well as physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses.
A continental breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m., welcoming remarks at 7:45 a.m., and the course runs until 2:00 p.m. Participants will receive, breakfast, lunch and CME credits.
Daniel Stein, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine (Gastroenterology and Hepatology), Vice Chair of Education (Department of Medicine), Medical Director, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Fellowship Program Director and Poonam Beniwal-Patel, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine (Gastroenterology and Hepatology) are the Course Directors.
