Benign Hematology: Disorders that are inherited blood conditions or cancers of the blood or bone marrow (ex. leukemia or lymphoma). Sickle Cell Disease (SCD): A genetic disease that primarily affects African Americans. It creates red blood cells that have an abnormal "sickle" shape. -
Blood and Marrow Transplant Program (BMT) and Cellular Therapy Program
Blood and bone marrow stem cell transplantation (hematopoietic) has proven results in several cancers of the blood/blood forming organs, marrow failure and immune deficiency states. -
