Career Benefits of Earning Your DrPH

Graduates are prepared to contribute to the field of public health as community engaged researchers to address complex challenges in healthcare and public health domains.

Terminal Degree

The DrPH is the most advanced degree for practitioners in the public health field. The program prepares mid-career public health professionals to thrive in leadership roles addressing current public health issues and challenges. 91ɫƵ’s online DrPH degree is the first and only of its kind in Wisconsin!

Practical Experience

While working full time, our students participate in an Applied Practice Experience (APE) to enhance public health competencies, establish connections to community partners, and complete research on their targeted public health issue. Students connect with a community organization and develop one or more deliverables for the site.

Career Readiness

Students receive direct career support from the program staff and faculty. As a result of this program, students will have comprehensive skills in community engaged research, public health and equity, and conducting and applying research in practice.
