91ɫƵ Emergency Medicine Division of Clinical Operations

Froedtert Health and the 91ɫƵ (91ɫƵ) provides a unique practice combining Academic, Community, and Neighborhood hospital emergency departments. This affords physicians opportunities to practice and lead operational changes in all three settings.

Mission

Collaborating, innovating and pursuing relentless process improvement for the best patient-centered emergency care.

Vision

To be the key influencers of leadership and operational management in Emergency Medicine.

Division Overview

The Department of Emergency Medicine Clinical Operations strives to provide collaborative solutions to operational challenges through the Froedtert & 91ɫƵ enterprise. We work closely with both system and local leadership to provide the most patient-centered care for all our patients. Physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and nurse leaders partner to optimize patient flow, experience, and clinical care.

The Emergency Medicine Operations team at Froedtert is comprised of experts in the areas of:

  • Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
  • Patient Safety
  • Logistics
  • Customer Experience

The Division of Clinical Operations is embedded within the 91ɫƵ’s Department of Emergency Medicine and oversees ED clinical operations throughout the Froedtert Health System. Our enterprise consists of the following sites:

  • Only academic, Level I Trauma Center in Southeast Wisconsin: Froedtert Hospital
  • Community Hospitals: Froedtert Menomonee Falls and Froedtert West Bend
  • Neighborhood Hospitals: Mequon, Pewaukee, New Berlin, and Oak Creek

Our clinical practice includes a high acuity and medically complex patient population along with an operationally unique organization with multiple types of emergency departments. In addition, Froedtert has a growing network of neighborhood hospitals that have the capacity to admit low acuity patients within the community they serve.
